Accessible Transport for Individuals - (Bridgend Community Transport)

Bridgend transport">Community Transport provides an accessible transport service for individuals with bespoke travel and mobility requirements which cannot be met by our voluntary car scheme or public transport. This service is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Although we use minibuses for this service, we offer discounted rates for use of these vehicles when used by Bridgend county based individuals. To begin using the service, individuals must register with us as a member Charges for use of vehicles vary depending on number of people travelling, period of use, distance travelled and whether a paid driver is required for the journey. All journeys are costed from base and include time taken by the driver for compulsory pre-journey vehicle checks.

Assisted Travel - (Transport for Wales)

Transport for Wales provides assistance for passengers with access needs. The Passenger Assist service is available for those requiring extra help to travel. TfW encourage passengers to book assistance before you travel - it helps with planning but is not essential. (For the service provided by National Rail, call 03457 48 49 50).

Culverhouse Cross Shopper - (VEST Community Transport)

A community bus service from Barry or Wenvoe to Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff. Shop at Marks and Spencer, TK Maxx, Tesco and Aldi. Drivers will carry your shopping into your house. Door to door service. To register call 029 20 490325.

D.A.N.S.A. Dial-a-ride - (D.A.N.S.A)

Are you a concessionary fare pass holder? Do you have difficulty getting to and from the bus stop with heavy bags? Do you have difficulty gaining access to conventional public transport? Dial-a-Ride is available to older people, who may have a disability or who suffer from ill health and are unable to access public transport for any reason. They cover the Dulais, Adan, Neath, Swansea, and Amman Valley areas.

Transcall - (Sight Life)

A door-to-door volunteer transport service organised by Sight Life. It can be used for social activities, hospital appointments and meetings, but not for work purposes. Two working day's notice is requested.

Welsh Concessionary Travel Card - (Transport for Wales)

An ID card to enable concessionary travel for disabled people, and other eligible categories, on many Wales rail and bus services. The holder can travel free on most bus services in Wales and the borders and enjoy discounted or free travel on many rail services.
